Today, as I opened my inbox, I was greeted with a surprise that filled my heart with gratitude and pride. Nestled among the emails was a certificate of appreciation from the American Red Cross, a tangible token of gratitude for our efforts in assisting with damage assessments following an EF-2 tornado that struck our community on January 28, 2012. As a member of the Autauga/Prattville Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), this acknowledgment serves as a poignant reminder of the power of collaboration, resilience, and compassion in the face of adversity.
